In short, our three-day reunion event will occur next year, September 2022. However, we gathered for a mini-reunion on Friday, September 17th at Lewellyn’s Pub in Webster!

What: A family assistance fund sponsored by the Webster Groves School District Foundation

Why: The Class of ‘71 alumni want to make a difference for students who have experienced many difficulties from COVID and its economic fallout. So we developed a partnership with the Webster Groves School District (WGSD) Foundation and now we need your help to nurture our class’ legacy.

The WGSD created a family assistance fund to aid district families experiencing short term or unexpected financial issues that will impact their students’ ability to succeed in school. The WGSD Foundation manages the donated funds while the district’s counseling department determines who needs funds. All donations to this fund are tax deductible.

Rites of Passage — A Legacy Project

Two graduating classes, separated by 50 years, finished the high school experience during tumultuous times. Class representatives from 1971 and 2021 collaborated virtually on a discussion comparing and contrasting the social factors that influenced their perspectives of history and their hopes for the future.
